Pendley, Baudin & Coffin files Taxotere Hair Loss Lawsuit in Illinois Federal Court
On behalf of the firm's client, Erma Spann, PBC lawyers filed a lawsuit against the manufacturer of Taxotere in Illinois Federal Court today. The complaint alleges that Ms. Spann received Taxotere as part of her treatment for breast cancer in 2005. Following her Taxotere treatment, Ms. Spann experienced permanent disfiguring hair loss. Ms. Spann alleges that, despite the fact that the manufacturer of Taxotere was aware of the serious risk of permanent hair loss from Taxotere use, she and her doctors were never warned of the risk.
The lawsuit is one of the first few filed in the U.S. alleging that Taxotere causes permanent hair loss in some women who are treated with the drug.
