Defective Roofing Shingles

In this litigation, plaintiffs allege Atlas Roofing Corporation, Inc. manufactured and sold thousands of roofing shingles containing non-rust-resistant metal fragments to consumers Roofing Corporation for use in constructing shingles. The defective shingles rust and deteriorate at a faster rate than reasonably expected causing rust stains on homes and surrounding property.

Thousands of defective roofing shingles containing the manufactured by Atlas were sold throughout Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma for use in commercial and residential buildings.

Despite knowing the shingles are defective, Atlas has never issued a recall or any other type notice to consumers about the product's defects.

There has been no recall on any of these shingles, however Atlas Roofing Company has recognized the problem.
