The federal judge overseeing the Bair Hugger Forced Air Warming Device Multidistrict Litigation in Minnesota appointed the Plaintiffs' Leadership today.  In her order appointing leadership, Judge Joan N. Ericksen named Co-Lead Counsel, an Executive Committee and a Plaintiffs' Steering Committee to litigate the Bair Hugger cases on behalf of all Plaintiffs whose cases have been consolidated in the MDL.  The Judge included PBC partner, Chris Coffin, in her selections, appointing Mr. Coffin as a member of the Executive Committee.

More than twenty home and business owners from Dallas and Farmers branch filed a class action lawsuit against the building contractors responsible for the deep excavation and construction of the LBJ Express Tollway project.  The Plaintiffs seek to represent a class of land owners between Midway Road and Josey Lane whose property lie within 1,750 feet, north or south, of Interstate 635/LBJ Express.

What is Zofran?

Zofran, originally developed by GlaxoSmithKline and was marketed by them in 1991, was approved by the FDA to treat nausea in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment and for postoperative surgery patients.  It has become one of the most prescribed drugs for nausea in the United States.  Zofran is also known as Zuplenz.

Monsanto Company has entered into a settlement agreement with wheat farmers in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi that resolves a number of lawsuits related to the May 2013 discovery of genetically-modified wheat on a farm in Eastern Oregon and subsequent temporary limits on certain exports of soft white wheat.

On March 1st "60 Minutes" aired a report on Lumber Liquidators seeming to intentionally mislabel Chinese made laminate flooring that is sells.  It seems this Chinese made flooring contains levels of formaldehyde higher than those allowed by California law.  "60 Minutes" visited factories in China that make the laminate flooring for Lumber Liquidators.
