PBC Senior Partner, Pat Pendley, Presents with Federal Judge and Former Law School Dean on American Bar Association Panel

Patrick W. Pendley participated in the American Bar Association seminar on March 10, 2016 in New Orleans, entitled "Class Action Litigation in America-A National Symposium".  Pendley appeared on a panel with The Honorable Eldon E. Fallon, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana and Professor Edward Sherman, former Dean of the Tulane Law School.  The panel topic was "View from the Bench and Bar" which included a discussion about complex litigation and the role of subclasses, bifurcation and bellweather trials as case management devices for structuring class actions, addressing predominance concerns and establishing claim valuation.  Cases specifically mentioned were the BP Oil litigation, Vioxx Litigation and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Litigation as examples of the bench and bar management techniques in  complex cases.
